So when New England native Reed Krakoff, the man credited with transforming classic-handbag-purveyor Coach into a trendy fashion house, announced in January 2017 that he was taking the reins as chief artistic officer for Tiffany & Co., brand loyalists clutched their pearls and waited to see what gems would fall from the new visionary’s hands. This 68-karat diamond necklace, available this month at Tiffany’s Boston outposts, is just one piece from his newly unveiled first collection, Paper Flowers, which juxtaposes the organic and feminine with the modern and graphic. “One of the fundamental passions of Tiffany & Co. is naturalism—appreciating the beauty of flora and fauna. Paper Flowers was created to honor this legacy,” Krakoff says. In other words, it’ll surely be the MVP in your jewelry lineup.
